World map

Overland travel in NWN2 official campaign and Mask of the Betrayer campaign is handled via the world map, on which a player can select known locations in a manner similar to Baldur's Gate 2. Once a location has been selected, the user will travel there –- though encounters may happen along the way.

The upcoming Storm of Zehir expansion pack will feature the use of the Overland Map during its campaign instead, in which the party freely explores a full 3D rendered environment (a miniaturized representation of the Forgotten Realms areas present in the expansion campaign).
