Description:

The toolset hangs if you deny its attempt at accessing the Internet via Zone Alarm.

Workaround:

Make sure you are connected to the Internet and there are no firewalls blocking access.

[edit] Load Splash Screen

Severity: Serious

Status: Possibly fixed in patch 1.10.1115; the error dialogs now show on top of the splash screen at least.

Description:

When the toolset loads, its splash window is set to "Stay On Top" (top-most window mode). Any error messages that are displayed (such as plug-in loading errors) show up underneath the logo and cannot be read. Clicking on them does not bring them to front; the splash screen remains on top of them.

Workaround:

It's sometimes possible to drag error messages away from the splash screen enough to read them.
