NWN2 Tip[]

Avoid this feat; as requiring an Epic Feat plus a number of other Feats, your Strenght, AB and Damage maybe less optimal due to this Feat. Power Critical is a better option, if you can spare the Feat. As Devastating Critical was not included in NWN2, it has devalued this Feat. Ragimund (talk)

Not entirely correct, Devastating Critical Warmace is available in the game. (normally, no edits or cheats)  https://imgur.com/mPgAxmk (looks as the Devs missed removing it). Ragimund (talk) 11:31, February 24, 2020 (UTC)

Epic Devastating Critical, Warmace

Type of Feat: Combat

Prerequisite: Strength 25+, Cleave, Great Cleave, Improved Critical Warmace, Overwhelming Critical Warmace, Power Attack, Weapon Focus Warmace.

Description/Specifics: Whenever scoring a critical hit with a Warmace, the character's target must make a Fortitude save or die instantly. Creatures who are immune to critical hits are not affected by this feat.

Use: Automatic.

Notes. Available only for Warmace, many PW's banned this feat in NWN.

NWN2 Tip. Broken Feat, don't take

Gameplay.  You have the most feared feat, ever. That doesn't work

I literally laughed out loud when I read the gameplay description. Another very good find. I made a new page for this and made the neccessay adjustment for Overwhelming critical. To clarify: I assume per your notes this feat does not work. Raelind (talk) 22:35, February 25, 2020 (UTC)

Kaedrin knew it didn't work http://nwn2customcontent.wikidot.com/overview but I haven't found any other references. Guess some code is missing, there's no fort saves. Ragimund (talk)

Useless Feat[]

This feat sucks. Let's say you are a Weaponmaster and crit with a Scythe. This feat gives you 4d6 extra damage, averaging at 12 points of damage. Your base damage plus attribute bonuses is - let's say - 30 average damage, including weapon, enchantment and attribute modifiers. Multiply by 5 and you get 150 damage. Now add 12 points. Whoa, nearly 1/12th more ... And this only applies if you actually crit! Absolutely useless !! --DirtyFinger 00:26, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Actually the average damage of 4d6 is 14. Still not huge. But you've taken a very specific example here! It used to be the prerequisite for Devastating Critical which was why most people ever bothered to take it. -- Chezcaliente 05:00, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Whereas I disagree with the comments above. It is not a totally useless feat to take. Consider for a momanet a weapon master who dual wields great axes with greater two weapon fighting and over whelming critical (yes it can be done by 30th level without cheating), and thats a butt load of extra damage potential. Thats 9 attacks per round with a x4 critical multiplier so potentially thats an extra 27d6 per round.

Now I know that an attack round with 9 critical hits will never happen, but the potential to cause massive ammounts of extra damage with overwhelming critical should not be ignored with the right character build —This unsigned comment is by 123.2.87.110 (wall) 05:57, May 13, 2013. DW Greataxe is a pretty bad example. It's always -6 AB and will hardly outdamage a 2H build, even more so when facing damage reduction. GFallen (talk) 13:32, May 13, 2013 (UTC)

This whole page is not utterely useless as it has since been tested and confirmed that Overwhelming Critical and Massive Critical both are Multiplied by the weapon multiplier on a critical hit. The issue is that Massive Critical and Overwhelming Critical will not stack as far as I can find. So in reality one just eeds to decide which is better for them buildwise. You either find a weapon with other damages that multiply and use Overwhelming critical to bump it even further or you forgo Overwhelming for a more useful epic feat and find a weapon with the massive criticals weapon modifier on it. Ranged Touch[]

There is no Overwhelming Attack : Ranged Touch, even if you fulfil the requirements?
