Expire[]

This page might need some tweaking, but I should confirm in game first. Greater Invisibility in NWN2 is listed in many places as not dispelling when you attack, but the wiki entry does not seem to agree even with itself. So the question is, in which cases does it expire, and in which cases does it not? E.g. If attacking is okay, how about spellcasting? Sleight of Hand attempts? Single Target[]

Single target spells and items cannot be used upon the caster for the duration of the spell, although weapons can.

This sounds odd to say the least. I assume this is about the Invisibility component of the spell? GFallen (talk) 09:19, October 24, 2013 (UTC)

Even though the game tells us that its spot versus hide and listen versus move silent. The game designers knew back in NWN that Listen does not help gainst Invisibilty. ie Listen does not roll against Move Silent. Maybe the combined (averaged) modal stealth was intentional as we could have needed to max both spot and listen to have effective characters instead of just one form of detection.

So the compromise was Greater Invisibility reduces to concealment after the first attack, rather than go on to slaughter their opponents.

The above NWN mod to Improved Invisibility, seems the better option. Rather than going with mods that are like an extended version of retributive invisibility (which compromise was duration) Ragimund (talk) 04:06, December 1, 2019 (UTC)
