Handle Animal[]

Somehow I doubt they will exclude this skill as it is the replacement for "Animal Empathy" from NWN1 and the 3.0 rules. I believe it is also a skill that is exclusive to some classes (ie Barbarian, Ranger, Divine Champion, Cleric, Blackguard, Paladin) and thus may not show up on other lists. • The skill of Animal Empathy has been replaced by a class-exclusive feat called Wild Empathy in 3.5 rules. None of the screens at Gen Con listed Animal Handling as a class skill for any of the classes, nor has Animal Handling been on other posted skill lists that have appeared on the NWN 2 forums. The feat Wild Empathy was also missing for Druid and Rangers, but there were similar mistakes for other classes, like not listing Frenzy for the Frenzied berserker, or Defensive Stance for the Dwarven Defender, the three Monk bonus feats and so on.Virthe 09:45, 28 August 2006 (PDT)
  • Ah yes, just checked my conversion. Considering that a major part of the classes Druid/Ranger is the ability to control animals, I am concerned that Wild Empathy is missing.. even more so when Handle Animal effects the feat and is used by several other classes. Not a difficult skill to implement and another example of something missing. Enigmatic 02:13, 29 August 2006 (PDT)
