  • Type of feat: Class
  • Prerequisite: Druid Level 12
  • Required for: None
  • Specifics: The character with this ability can take the shape of an plant creature. Available shapes include Treant and Shambling Mound.
  • Use: Selected.

As of patch 1.10, the forms are listed under the racial group of Animals. Magic Fang will affect these forms but not Nature's Avatar. As of 1.23 (1.22) this is no longuer the case: plant forms can no longuer benefit from any animal buffs.

Shambling Mound Edit

  • STR 21
  • DEX 10
  • CON 17
  • 2-12 base damage
  • 20 Armor Class
  • Immunity to disease, critical hits, mind effects, paralysis, poison, fear.
  • Some damage resistance to lightning.

Treant Edit

  • STR 29
  • DEX 8
  • CON 21
  • 2-12 base damage
  • 22 Armor Class
  • Immunity to disease, critical hits, mind effects, paralysis, poison, fear.
  • 50% vulnerability to Fire.

NotesEdit

  • The treant used to the best choice for melee, exceeding that of the Dire Bear due to higher AC and damage. Plus it has quite a few immunities that the bear is lacking. However, as of 1.23, Dire Bear can benefit from Greater Magic Fang, while Treant cannot. It is also a very unwieldy shape due to its size and you will have to click quite a bit to make it attack a new foe after finishing off a previous one.
  • The Treant Fire vulnerability stacks with the Energy immunity spell. Fire vulnerability gives -50% resistance, while Energy immunity: fire gives +100% resistance. The net result is that with Energy immunity: fire in place, the Treant has +50% resistance, and takes half damage from fire (whereas without the vulnerability, a character would normally take no damage at all).
  • As of v1.12, the Plant Wild Shape uses a "Creature Weapon" rather than a true unarmed strike. As such, feats that grant bonuses specifically for unarmed strikes (such as Weapon Focus unarmed strike) do not apply while in Wild Shape. However feats that grant bonuses to all attack (such as Epic Prowess) still apply. Further to this, because it uses a "Creature Weapon" rather than a "true" unarmed strike, if you have levels in Sacred fist, you take a -8 attack penalty for using a "weapon".
