The crafting mold for full plate requires 3 metal ingots (or wyvern hide). Other than normal iron ingots, one can alternatively use:
- Mithral: DC 18, armor check penalty reduced to -3, arcane spell failure down to 25%, weight cut by half, maximum dexterity bonus increased to 3, treated as medium armor
- Darksteel: DC 18, 5/- acid damage resistance
- Adamantine: DC 23, 3/- damage resistance
- Wyvern hide: DC 28, +2 armor modifier, +4 saving throws vs. poison, 20% weight reduction
