The Countdown Parody - Forum-Friendly Edition

Developed by Slappy the Ring Thief, The Countdown Parody is the wide-spread flash media featured on the Neverwinter Nights 2 forums. The comedic musical hyjinks of Benny Hill fit into the background of a modified image of the Neverwinter Nights 2 "Thank you for Pre-ordering screen" with the day counter climbing ever-upwards in this classical piece of NWN2 community humor.

Even the developers found the parody enjoyable.

For what its worth, just about everyone at Obsidian has this on their machines. I don't think I've ever heard so much Benny Hill music ever before in my life. I laughed so hard I cried when I saw this.

The whole timer thing was a debacle, and we're definitely not happy about it either.

But wow, this really was hilarious!

We're laughing too people.

Two Different Versions Edit

The countdown parody from Wyrdwood originally featured an uncensored middle finger. However, this version caused moderators to lock threads and disable links to the parody due to the non-work friendly nature of the gesture. To counter this, the creator of the countdown parody modified the original version of the parody to fit the wants of the moderators and continue to give relief to the community during The Great Toolset Disappointment of '06.

However, a way to find the uncensored version remained hidden in the censored version. Apparently, Slappy the Ring Thief left a hidden URL that led to the uncensored version. You can now find the uncensored version here.

Slappy would appreciate any donations to support keeping the parody online.
